WINE
We believe that wine and food are an indispensable match – actually, we believe that wine IS food. Wine goes with just about any meal. (The title of one of our blogs is A Meal Without Wine.) We once read that famed California winemaker Robert Mondavi added a jigger of red wine to his breakfast coffee ever since he was a little boy. (We tried it. We didn’t like it. Plus wine in the morning was about eight hours too early for us.)
Nonetheless, we can’t actually bring or serve wine in our courses (all the lawyers, you know). But we will provide wine suggestions (at a couple of different price points) for every cooking course we offer. The wines we suggest should be readily available locally in Santa Fe (or in your local area).
In our wine-and-food pairing course, we spend the first half-hour of the lesson at the wine store, choosing the wines that we’ll compare and contrast with various food combinations. (Although we can’t purchase, bring, or serve wine, we – and you – can certainly drink it. In moderation.) And although it pains us tremendously, we can accommodate non-drinkers. (But then, as we said, we don’t think of wine as drink, but rather as food.)

LENDING LIBRARY
For our students, we have an extensive lending-library of cookbooks (currently more than 150 different titles) and other food & wine books, covering cuisine from around the country and around the world.
COOKING FOR YOU
Despite what we said about our not being a catering service, we can be talked into offering small-group (no more than 8 people) private chef services. We can prepare any of the offerings listed on this website, or tailor a meal to your preferences and desires. Drop us a note or give a call for prices and more information.
