Single-Session Courses (approx 2-1/2 hours)

These are a combination of lessons and our cooking with you. We guarantee that you’ll have fun and learn a lot. Although it’s hard to get a great grasp of cooking concepts in only one session, this is a great way to jump-start your creativity, or even to have some assistance (and insight) for a special meal you’d like to create.

The 4-Week Series

One 2-1/2-hour (approx) session per week, for 4 consecutive weeks. Usually, each week will focus on a particular ASPECT of cooking – spicing, food & flavor pairings, ingredients, cooking methods, and many other topics.

RESERVATIONS

In general, we request reservations for lessons a minimum of 1 week in advance. We may be able to accommodate you on shorter notice, but cannot guarantee it. Please give us a call.

PRICES

Individual single-session: $245. (Plus ingredients, as necessary, usually no more than $50.) Additional students, up to 3 more: $145 each.

Four-week courses: $895. (Plus ingredients. We’ll usually bring ingredients for the first session, and you’ll be doing the shopping for subsequent classes. Ingredients usually no more than $50 per lesson.) Additional students, up to 3 more: $495 each (for the full 4-week course; ingredient costs may be slightly higher with additional students).

Deposits: Half of course fee (ie: $122 for single session, $447 for the 4-week course) upon confirmation of your reservation; second half course fee is due upon start of the first class.

Refunds: If you need to cancel more than 4 weeks before your class, full deposit refund.

Cancellation 1-4 weeks before class, deposit refund minus $50 fee.

Cancellation less than 1 week before class, deposit refund minus $100 fee.

(If we are able to fill your class time-slot with another client, the cancellation fee

will be only $50, no matter the timeframe.)

If you just need to reschedule, there is no charge (as long as your new dates are

available).

Once a 4-week class has started, if you are dissatisfied with your lessons, we will

refund as follows: After 1 class, $600 refund, after 2 classes, $300 refund.

Friends: It’s fun to share food and wine with others. If you sign up for a Friends 4-week class, we’re more than happy to teach at a different location each session. But… because there is a slight additional time commitment as we learn a new kitchen, etc., we request a $50 “additional kitchen” fee for each new location. (Total, not per person.)

We certainly encourage you to have your friends join you in these classes. Just remember: Ours is not a show-and-tell process – you’ll be doing much (most!) of the cooking – so large groups just aren’t practical. You’re not sitting in a classroom with 20 other people. You’re not watching a TV monitor. You are doing the cooking, with our lessons and guidance.

Additional lessons: After any 4-week session, should you desire to take your creative cooking education even further, we offer a 15% discount off any and all subsequent classes (single or 4-week) you’d like to begin within the following year.

PAYMENT

Sorry, but we don’t yet directly accept credit cards. You may pay the deposit by check or cash, as noted above, or you may pre-pay your deposit or make full payment using Google Checkout (see the Reservations section on our Contact page) if you prefer to use a credit card. (Our refund policy, above, still applies if you desire to pre-pay in full.)
